A unique tropical garden, Gardenia, was opened in April 2001. It is situated in Viikki, in the heart of Helsinki, next to the Vanhankaupunginlahti Bay nature reserve and the Helsinki Univeristy campus area.

The luxuriant tropical garden, covered by glass, is a beautiful and refreshing place to visit all year round. Out in the yard there is a genuine Japanese stone garden.
